Description

Make sure you take the right trailhead. You want trailhead #266. Google maps will end your trip about a mile before the actual trailhead. And when you find the right trailhead, there are two across from each other.

The path up is steep but easy to follow and clear until about 200 meters from the cabin. Then the trail disappears and you have to scrabble up steep rock to get to the cabin. I have a little bit of fear of heights/falling and the last part triggered my anxiety a few times but I still made it up to the top.

Coming down was harder. A. It's super steep. B. The trail is not obvious as you're coming down. There weren't a lot of people at the time we went so we couldn't follow anyone exiting or entering the trailhead and we ended up getting off trail and doing some unnecessary rock scrambling down and then up until we found the trail. The group behind us did the same thing. Make note of where you pop out when the trail ends because it's not obvious when you're up at the cabin.
