Day use area that is closed after sunset.
Description
The trail begins immediately out of the parking area, passing a couple designated picnic areas before forking with the Bar Canyon Trail. Staying left at the fork, the trail winds its way gradually uphill through the meadow directly in front of Baldy Peak for a little over a mile. The official trail is maintained by the BLM and is well marked (though there are numerous social paths that criss-cross the canyon). This trail will pass many remnants of the ranch that once occupied the land at the turn of the last century before the canyon narrows and the path ends at the waterfall.
Flora & Fauna
There are a couple herds of mule deer that frequent the canyon and can typically be spotted grazing.
