Need to Know

The preserve is owned and maintained by The Nature Conservancy, Arkansas and is free to public access.

Description

The run is moderately easy, with plenty of room along a gravel access road. The run back is more challenging since it is all uphill, with some short, steep sections. There are multiple loops that connect to the main trail, mostly marked. The trail is very clear, so getting lost should not be an issue.

Flora & Fauna

The area is dominated by oak-hickory forest. Flowering dogwoods and redbuds are attractive in the spring; sassafras and black gums put on a good show in the fall. There is a short section of trail near the trailhead that loops through wildflowers designated for pollinator habitat.
