Need to Know

This is totally free, and the only thing you need to be concerned with is if you have enough water and you'll need to use the restroom at one of the other facilities before you get out here.

Pease watch out for snakes and gators out here, as they are dangerous, but they add to the excitement and appeal of the place (as long as you don't mess with the gators they don't usually bother anyone).

Runner Notes

It a pretty solid surface, but does have the occasional mud puddle, so if you wear barefoot shoes, your feet will get a work out.

Description

This is a wonderful run in the southeast Texas marsh, with lots of birds and an occasional gator or two. You'll be running mostly on a gravel road, but there are spots that have just grass. This trail has lots of options and configurations in which you can follow it.

Flora & Fauna

You'll see many water lilies out here, and a diverse collection of plants along the trail.
