Need to Know
It is most likely needed to be an out-and-back track. There is no public transport. The drive from end to end is around half and hour so if there are two of you with two cars you could car drop. But doing the return run makes the most sense.
Runner Notes
Mostly the underfoot conditions are good, packed gravel, only a foot wide in parts, and a full walking track width in others. It is a maintained track by the Department of Conservation. It will likely be very wet in winter (it is the West Coast of the South Island after all). The only steps are on the short "View" extension out to the point.
Description
At each end of the track there is a steep section to get up to the track altitude. The track is mostly level at that point simply winding up and down some very gentle gullies.
Flora & Fauna
Flax, regenerating forest, windswept mixed coastal forest.
