Need to Know
There is ample parking and a fully serviced chalet is open in the winter when trail passes are required. There is no fee for running in the off season but donations are appreciated.
Runner Notes
For off season hiking or running, waterproof footwear is suggested. There will be some slippery sections.
Description
The trail links
Games Trail with the more remote trails leading back country but it is also a very worthwhile stand alone destination. The terrain surface has been grubbed to make it fairly even and the inclines are not steep so that you can look around to enjoy the views.
Flora & Fauna
In the boggy areas: sphagnum moss, marshberries, bog laurel, Labrador tea...
In dry areas of caribou moss: blueberries, redberries, leatherleaf...
By streams: northern honeysuckle and blue violets...
In the birch grove: ferns, starflowers, white violets, clintonia, bunchberries...
