There is parking and a fully serviced chalet that's open during ski season. Snowshoe trail passes are required.

Runner Notes

This trail is generally not used for summer running.

Description

The trail branches off C1 and follows the banks of Birch Brook right behind the old log cabin, curves around the edge of the escarpment by Games Trail, crosses Jackrabbit Loop access trail, and rejoins C1 again. Not everyone follows the exact same path each time as the area is wide open.

Flora & Fauna

This area was previously burnt. Jack pine seedlings not indigenous to central Labrador were provided for the replanting project and they have certainly thrived out competing naturally seeded spruce. It makes for an interesting walk.
