Description

The Perry Wood Trail Loop is suitable for light hiking, walking, or jogging in the summer, or skiing and snowshoeing in winter. The southern lookout on this trail is a nice, large platform that overlooks the gorge created by Minneopa Creek as it flows to the Minnesota River.

Williams Nature Center has placed benches throughout the park for resting and reflecting.

Flora & Fauna

Many species of songbird can be heard in the woods on this trail. Chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals, finches, robins, red winged blackbirds, and more make the woods their home. Keep a lookout for eagles and hawks, too.
