Description
This northern section of the Rock Creek Parkway has starting points either at the Twin Falls County West building off of Highway 30 or at the western terminus of Filer Avenue. Both locations have parking areas.
The descent on the northern entrance is gravel, but the rest of the trail is paved. The trail runs through Rock Creek Park, which has some picnic areas, an RV park, and some nice fishing areas. There is also a lengthy disc golf course that runs through the entire parkway. Numerous birds populate the thick vegetation in the canyon bottoms—songbirds, ducks, magpies, hawks, and more. It is a lovely place to enjoy a little bit of nature in the heart of Twin Falls.
