Thick heavy mud and water

Description

I was here in spring, so you all might have a different experience in a drier season. I suspect this trail is used most by hunters and forest service folks.

From the parking lot head out on the obvious trail. Weave your way along the doubletrack trail, trying to avoid the deep pools of water. I spent much of my time slightly off trail to look for drier ground while avoiding poison ivy. After a little over a mile you'll come to an intersection with the Pipeline Trail. Head right and you'll soon make it back to Paquet Road, where you can either head back or take the road to the right to get back to where you started.

Flora & Fauna

Plenty of cool swamp creatures
