Starting from the lower parking lot, you gain elevation as you make your way through a large pasture. From there you can break off onto a number of paths all of which form loops back to the main clearing.
The lower sections of trail flood frequently and therefore can be muddy and/or closed even after several days. Overall, the trail is a mix of single and doubletrack trails, all of which are easy to navigate although mostly unmarked.
