Description
This trail is a short 1-mile trail off of the longer Wallace Pass Trail that is worth it for the views of Passage Creek Falls. There is a short moderately steep climb, then steep, loose (bring trekking poles), descent to the water's edge to view the falls. The falls can be impressive during spring runoff. Be careful descending to the water.
If you want to see the falls from above, look for a smaller trail heading south from the main switchbacks. The views are rewarding, including a beautiful meadow to the southwest of the trail and a small rustic cabin. The Wallace Pass Trail leading to this trail is very exposed, being through an older burn area, so bring sunscreen and be prepared for warm temperatures. Many like to do this run in the morning for this reason.
