This short section of trail is a critical link to stay off the road as much as possible. Although it looks on the map to simply be a section paralleling the road, it's much more.

It starts just west of the lower campground. The first hundred yards are just inside the woodline, but it soon heads toward Sprague Brook and continues on at the edge of its ravine.

It ends on the road just uphill from the main parking area.
