A north shore gem. This is a newer trail and provides uncharacteristic views.

Need to Know

Water at Mosquito Creek. The section west of Mosquito Creek should be considered a black diamond for difficulty.

Runner Notes

The lower half has mostly non-technical footing. From Mosquito Creek onward, the trail is significantly more cumbersome and is generally only hike-able (beautiful, just not fast).

Description

The trail is well marked from the start to the crossing at Mosquito Creek. The grade is reasonably steep though manageable in either direction with some motivation.

From the crossing at Mosquito Creek, the trail becomes steeper and a little more adventurous as it winds through old growth—look for the giant cedars!

The trail eventually connects with the LGMH Trail, that can be continued upward to the grouse chalet, or down to the Baden Powell Trail.
