Description
From the well-marked trailhead on Stagecoach Boulevard, run approximately 0.2 miles to a junction in the trail. Turn left (clockwise) and the trail will follow an abandoned jeep road up a steep hill towards the north/northwest. The grade becomes more gradual after another 0.3 miles as the trail turns east.
During the next mile, travel in an easterly direction as the trail climbs slowly and offers views to the south. After a total of 1.5 miles, a foot trail descends into to a gully on the right (the abandoned jeep road continues in an easterly direction). Descend the foot trail towards the east/southeast. After approximately 0.5 miles, the trail will turn towards right along the southern boundary of the State Wildlife Area.
The trail levels and continues in a westerly direction with private residences on the south (left) side of the trail. After a total 3.25 miles, you return to the junction. Another 0.2 miles returns you to the trailhead.
