Need to Know
In summer, you are greeted with mostly rock underfoot, but for the other 3 seasons, boots that can accommodate snow are recommended. There are no facilities, so use the restroom at the cafe before heading up on your journey.
Description
If you have 3-5 hours to spare, this is the perfect run for a panoramic view out over the southernmost tip of the earth.
Get your heart pumping! The first half mile of the run takes you on a rather relentless incline that, depending on the season, will either offer rock or snow underfoot. The path is wide and will likely be busy.
You level out slightly as you reach what used to be the top of a ski lift, and continue on a less trying climb for another half mile. A small area with benches will greet you if you would like to sit and catch your breath (or simply stop here) before you start the next 1+ mile journey to the ultimate overlook.
The next mile takes you up a narrow path along the Martial Mountains that will be clearly visible unless it has recently snowed. This path is traveled frequently enough to never quite feel alone or as you might get lost.
