Overview
The 50-mile consists of a 25.5-mile loop that is run twice. Total elevation gain is 6,600 feet and loss is 6,600 feet. 80% of the course is run on singletrack trails and 20% on gravel, dirt roads. There are 8 fully stocked aid stations along the course.
Description
The 50 Mile starts and finishes at the Skull Hollow Campground. The race begins on the
Cole Loop Trail # 854,
Gray Butte Trail #852,
Burma Road,
Wolf Tree Trail, cross bridge, access road to the
Rim Rock Trail,
Rope-De-Dope Trail,
Canyon Trail, access road, cross bridge, left on
River Trail,
Summit Trail,
Gray Butte Trail #852, Forest Service Road 1395, Forest Service Road 57,
Cole Loop Trail # 854.
There are 8 aid stations along the 50-mile course. Each will have the usual ultra food selection: chips, PBJ, bananas, oranges, Skout bars, Muir Energy gels, Tailwind electrolyte drink, water, soda and other items. All Alpine Running races are cupless, so be sure to be a cup with you.
