Need to Know
There is limited parking at the trailhead. Best to park at the large area about 250 meters further down the road to the north.
Description
From the trailhead, start off on the wide flat wooden ramp structure that leads to the wide wooden bridge that takes one to Pyramid Island. From both sides of the bridge one can see mountain ranges in the distance, across Pyramid Lake. To the southwest, on a clear day, Mount Edith Cavell and Whistlers Summit are visible.
Pyramid Island is a thinly forested island. Arriving on the island, a shelter and picnic area are passed on the left. The trail is flat as it then makes a loop around the island, near its shoreline. Lake and mountain views are seen everywhere along the way. Very picturesque!
The loop ends back at the shelter and bridge. Re-cross the bridge to get back to the road and your car.
Flora & Fauna
Thin fir forest.
