Runner Notes

It's steep as hell, but sure.

Description

To get the best views go early or the fog may come in from the sea and blanket everthing.

This trail is probably 90% slog through the thick, verdant temperant rainforest and 10% glorious views above the treeline. For the 90% expect rugged running where you might be grabbing roots and small trees to make your way.

Once you top out, it's so beautiful you'll feel like you just cracked open a geode. Take time to wander around and enjoy the views.

Flora & Fauna

Tree ferns, beech trees and if you're lucky you can hear a kiwi (probably only at night though).
