Description

From the picnic area, cross the Cache La Poudre River and follow the road to the trailhead. The beginning of the trail rises steeply on a rocky climb with switch backs. From the top there is a stunning view of the the Poudre River valley below. Following the trail across a meadow you reach a short loop with a view of CO Highway 14. This is an out and back trail with one narrow viewpoint side trail not far from the trailhead.
