Description

This 2.5-mile trail climbs to the top of a butte near Pueblo Reservoir giving very nice views of the lake, mountains and Liberty Point. There is one short, but steep climb/descent depending on which way you go around the loop. Runners will find rocky landscapes, prickly pear cactus, and views of the twisted trees along the trail. Deer can be seen along the trail from time to time. This trail is lightly traveled when I have been there. The trail is used by runners and mountain bikers.

Flora & Fauna

Deer will occasionally be seen. Prickly Pear and Walking Stick cactus grow along the trail. Both have beautiful blooms during parts of the year. Twisted Juniper trees are a beautiful addition to the scenery.
