The starting point of the run is the end of the upper of the two parking lots. The path first leads to the left of the information cabin by a slightly wooded mountain saddle. After a few meters, turn left and a rough paved path leads downhill into the pine forest. Now just follow the signs to the Mirador de los Roques. This offers a fascinating panoramic view into the caldera and the surrounding mountains.

Now it's back to the last branch and to the right in the zigzag course along the mountainside. Slowly, the trail begins to rise before reaching the crossroads of Cumbrecita and Mirador de las Chozas after about one kilometer.

Here and at the next fork you keep to the right. After about 200 meters, the viewpoint is reached. If you follow the wooden fence down to the right you'll reach another, even more beautiful vantage point. The view of the Caldera and the Pico Bejenado is fantastic.

Back to the parking lot, the starting point of the run, it is about a kilometer on a slightly rising forest road.

Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung ist das Ende des Oberen der beiden Parkplätze. Der Weg führt zunächst links am Infohäuschen vorbei einen leicht bewal­deten Bergsattel hinauf. Nach wenigen Metern wendet man sich nach links und ein grob gepflasterter Weg führt in Kehren hinunter in den Kiefernwald. Nun einfach den Wegweisern zum Mirador de los Roques folgen. Dieser bietet einen faszinierenden Rundblick hinein in die Caldera und auf die umgebenden Berge.

Nun geht es wieder ein Stück zurück zur letzten Abzweigung und nach rechts weiter im Zickzackkurs den Berghang entlang. Langsam beginnt der Weg anzusteigen, ehe man nach etwa einem Kilometer die Querverbindung von Cumbrecita und Mirador de las Chozas erreicht.

Hier und an der nächsten Weggabelung hält man sich immer rechts. Nach etwa 200 Metern ist der Aussichtspunkt erreicht. Folgt man rechts dem Holzzaun abwärts erreicht man noch einen weiteren, noch schöneren Aussichtspunkt. Der Blick auf die Caldera und den Pico Bejenado ist fantastisch.

Wieder zurück zum Parkplatz, dem Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung, geht es etwa einen Kilometer über eine leicht ansteigende Forststraße.
