Description
Heading north, you'll run along the river, where the trail is relatively flat. Crossing the bridge introduces you to a mild hilly section. Once past that, navigate the intersecting trails and find yourself on a singletrack (usually muddy) heading up towards the Sioux Lookout. One is able to take the 0.1 mile offshoot to see the lookout view, then proceed out onto the prairie portion. For the next mile, you meander in and out of the wooded areas, running along the edge of the prairie. Ducking onto section open to mountain bikes, you'll be running along a steep valley in dense woods on a somewhat technical singletrack. Once reunited again with the main trail, it will be the start of a long downhill section. At the bottom you'll find yourself back by the bridge at which you started.
