This portion of the SRK Greenway runs from the base of the Lincoln Trail to Wadleigh State Park. It starts off Kearsarge Valley Road then runs through a heavily logged area. It may be difficult to find the trail through this stretch; please use caution.

It turns left onto Shaker Street, then right onto Gile Pond Road. It passes beneath Interstate 89, then turns right onto Gile Road. It turns off Gile Road and runs through a small stretch of Shadow Hill State Forest. It crosses Gile Pond Road, from a parking area, and runs up towards Kearsarge Regional Middle School. It travels along the edge of the field and through small patches of trees.

The trail turns right at Wadleigh Road. When you reach the junction with Music Hill Road, the trail turns left into the woods. The trail is wet and rocky through this stretch. It runs along the edge of a wetland, where you can often catch a glimpse of some wildlife. Follow Wadleigh Hill Road to the right, until the trail turns left through the stone pillars. The trail runs along a woods road until it reaches Penacook Road. Section 12 ends here; turn left to continue onto section 13.

Flora: White Pine, Eastern Hemlock, Beech, Wintergreen.
Fauna: Red-Winged Blackbirds.
