Description
This trail connects the halfway mark of the
Valencia Peak Trail and the halfway mark of the
Bluff Trail. This trims about 1 mile off a journey between these two points on their respective trails.
This trail begins at the 4-way intersection with the
Beebe Trail and
Valencia Peak Trail. If you are ascending the
Valencia Peak Trail, the Badger Trail will bear right and downhill. The Badger Trail eventually meets with the
Rattlesnake Flats Trail and follows it for a little under a quarter mile. At environmental site 3, take a left down a wide gravel road instead of staying right on
Rattlesnake Flats Trail. Cross the paved road and come to a fork with a gravel road on the left and a trail on the right; stay right at the fork and take the trail. From here, there are no turns until it terminates at a T intersection with
Bluff Trail.
This trail is narrow and can be slightly overgrown; however, it is really well groomed, free of rocks. There aren't a lot of switchbacks; it traverses a ridge-line, takes a sharp right, then heads straight down the said ridge-line.
