Tough run in the snow, but worth it for the great views of Rainier, Adams, and Helens.

Snowshoe or cross-country ski in winter months. This trail is for winter use only when snow covered.

Overview

Slow and steady incline until you reach the hut. Not ever super steep, but winds through forest and occasionally opens up for views.

Need to Know

Snow Park pass in winter, and Forest Pass non-winter months.

Description

Starts at the upper snow park. A steady incline for the first two miles or so that pass small seasonal creeks, and occasional views of the surrounding area. The trail evens out for a bit and also opens up from the tree line before heading back into the forest. A few deer and birds roam this entire trail. The trail slowly grades down until one last small push back up to the hut.
