Description
This trail begins among a mess of trails under the power lines in the middle of the 1,000 acre off-leash dog park also known as Sandy River Delta. It starts on
Boundary Trail, crosses
Confluence Trail (within 100 feet of which dogs should technically be leashed), crosses
Ranch Dike Trail, and then comes to a major informal trail that accesses the Sandy River. After this the trail turns west and passes through forest along what was the Sandy River's channel before it was restored. There are a number of informal trails heading north from this trail to the Sandy River, but no "official" views of the river. After about 3/4 of a mile you'll cross
1000 Acre Road which can be taken to the main parking area. This trail ends on the Sandy River Side Rd, which isn't part of the official trail network.
