Need to Know
You can access this from either R.B. Winter State Park on the fishing side (just follow the Mid-State/Brush Hollow Trails or by the Fallen Timber Trail along Pine Creek Road (no winter maintenance). Cell service is non-existent for the most part.
Runner Notes
Not advised.
Description
The trail starts off easy and well-marked but begins to climb shortly after. It twists and turns along a rocky hillside. The slope is not too difficult to traverse besides some nice rocky sections about halfway through. The yellow blazes become scarcer as you go along, so be mindful of your surroundings/bearings. I would definitely advise running with a friend or at least some form of GPS. Overall though it is a nice escape from the busier trails of R.B. Winter State Park.
Flora & Fauna
I have personally come across both black bears and timber rattlesnakes, so be mindful of your surroundings and where you place your hands, feet, belongings, etc.
