The Sasamat Trail Public Outhouse is located at the end of the trail where the Clinton Trail meets the Sasamat Trail.

The trail begins at the corner of Pacific Spirit Park and follows the road for a bit before turning into the forest. There is a mix of trees and at some points there are rustic looking wooden fences to encourage people and dogs to stay on the trail. The trail finishes in a thick, moss covered conifer forest. The Clinton Trail passes through several intersections but is clearly marked.

The beginning of the trail has deciduous trees like Red Alder and Big Leaf Maple. There are also numerous cedar and Douglas fir. Birds such as Chickadee and Woodpeckers can be seen throughout.
