Description
For families or beginners looking for a quick run, the Barrier-Free Nature Trail is one of the best options in the park.
Starting across from the park headquarters, the wide, well-maintained trail heads into the woods. Along the way, be sure to check out the interpretive signs or take a break on one of the benches along the trail to soak in the scenery.
The trail loops out near the beach and Tampa Bay before heading back toward the trailhead. You can add another loop if you want some additional time on the trail or head to the beach for some relaxation on the white sand that Fort De Soto is famous for.
