Stevens Creek County Park is open from 8:00 am to sunset throughout the year.
Need to Know
Stevens Creek County park is open from 8:00 am until sunset each evening. There is a parking fee at the Chestnut and Baytree Picnic areas that you need to pay to access the park. The park can also be accessed by hiking in from Fremont Older or Picchetti Ranch Open Space Preserve.
Runner Notes
Trail is wide and relatively free from obstacles, so when paired with the Stevens Creek/Tony Look Trail, this makes for a nice out and back run.
Description
The
Loop Trail starts from the
Stevens Creek / Tony Look Trail and follows the contour of Stevens Creek Reservoir to a point where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and the reservoir. The trail is a wide dirt track that winds around a point where you can enjoy some shade from one of the oak trees at the point. The views of the reservoir are sweeping, and you can watch as people enjoy the fishing or boating on the water. The trail is fairly popular as it provides a natural turn around point for people who parked at the Baytree or the Chestnut Picnic Areas. Combining the
Loop Trail and Stevens Creek/Tony Look Trail makes for a wonderful evening walk that the whole family can enjoy.
Flora & Fauna
Deer, turkeys, and various ducks can be seen around the reservoir at different times of the day.
