A wonderful run showcasing mountain summits, inns, and incredible vistas.

Parking on the lower lot at Schwarzeck inn is free - the upper lot is for guests.

Start your run at Schwarzeck inn near Ramsau and follow the signs to "Toter Mann" (Dead Man's Peak) for about 2 miles uphill along a gravel road. (Alternatively, you could also take the Hochschwarzeck chairlift nearby and only run down from the peak).

After about 2 miles, take a left at a sign saying "Toter Mann: 5 min" to reach the peak for a great view. (There are several benches up there.)

Return to the signpost and continue onward along the ridge, then follow the signs to "Söldenköpfl" along a narrow and somewhat rocky forest trail for about 1.5 miles until you reach Söderköpfl inn. At the inn, take a right following a sign saying "Soleleitungsweg" (brine pipeline trail) which leads past the inn to an even trail.

Follow the trail, which remains almost entirely even and which offers some great views of the Ramsau valley below, for about 3 miles (passing another restaurant, Gerstreit inn, along the way) until the brine pipeline trail ends at another inn (Zipfhäusl).

Take a right and follow the road (Schwarzecker Weg) up to the main road (Schwarzecker Straße) and back to the parking lot where you started out.
