Great trail for running, and lots of side trails to increase length. Most of the trail is wide and flat.

The trail begins around Endris Lodge or Flatwoods Shelter. There are a few creek crossings with wooden footbridges, and there are some good views of Silver Creek during the first 0.75 miles of the trail. The trail alternates from dense hardwood forest to open fields. There are numerous side trails during the entire duration of the run, mostly west of the parking lot. The trail passes a golf course and a disc golf course.

There are some huge sycamores on this trail. Also, I have never not seen more than three deer on each visit.
