Need to Know
Parking in the large paved parking lot at the trailhead is free. No permits are required for hiking or camping.
Description
Starting form the Blossom Lakes trailhead, follow the trail east along a mostly level track, noticing the ditch just to your right which was originally dug in the late 1800s to carry water to miners. At the junction with the Idaho Centennial Trail (which leads to the horse trailhead) turn right and begin the gentle ascent to Blossom Lakes. Shortly before coming to Blossom Lake, stop at the overview which provides one of the only views on the trail. You can either camp at Blossom Lake, or continue to Upper Blossom Lake, which is an easy mile away.
