Description

Access is from the Prospector Trail, either the Cottonwood Hills trailhead to the east (currently closed due to fire damage) or the Grapevine Trail to the west. Start and finish is close to the same spot. The eastbound and westbound segments are mostly flat, mostly smooth rock with some gravel thrown in. There are a couple of steep hills at the bookends.

The northern segment is higher elevation. It is a well-marked trail in most areas with signage at junctions, but there are a few side trails and it's possible to lose the trail on the open rock faces, so be aware. At the west end, the trail can be connected to Bracken's Loop with a right-hand turn rather than continuing downhill back to Prospector Trail .
