Like many trails at Denton Hill State Park, this is a wide trail following ski slopes. The weeds can be quite high (4+ feet) during the summer, so wear pants and insect repellent.

Starting at the near (east) end of the parking lot, follow an obvious trail between the lodge on your right and a cabin on the left. Run straight past the bottom end of a ski lift, ignoring trails that run to the left and immediate right. The trail starts as a gradual slope before becoming somewhat steeper, and terminates close to the top of the hill, where a right turn would allow you to connect to the Sidewinder Trail and head to the summit.
