Description
This trail starts from the parking area off Route 3 and runs eastward. It descends, steadily, down to the First Connecticut Lake. It hits the first bog bridge, in an 800-foot span of bridges. Though not confirmed, this is thought to be the longest series of bog bridges in the northeast. Shortly after leaving the bog bridges, you'll pass over Coon Brook.
If you're running the Cohos (SOBO), you may want to fill up on water here since the water source at Tillotson Shelter may be unreliable. The trail loosely follows the upper edge of the Connecticut Lake until it comes out to Magalloway Road.
