Need to Know

As for ALL trails in the Green Mountain Falls trail system PARK IN TOWN, NOT AT THE TRAILHEAD.

Start at the H.B. Wallace Preserve trailhead. Follow GOLD trail markers until reaching Castle Rock. There are quite a few trail intersections so, when in doubt, proceed up and look for GOLD trail markers. The trail terminates at a rock outcropping. This is a decent area for a rest and/or picnic. This trail gets very little traffic compared to the Catamount Trail (Green Mountain Falls) or Thomas Trail.

Description

Steep trail, lots of downed trees, technical. The views of Green Mountain falls and Ute Pass are fantastic though.
