Loose dirt and gravel cover most of the trail. There are also a large number of closely spaced stairs.
Description
The East Rim trail provides an interesting run that gives views of the waterfalls in the gorge below. The trail itself is largely loose gravel and there are a large number of stairs in uphill sections, many of these stairs are closely spaced.
