Description
This trail is the gravel service road around Lake Yahola. The concrete-lined lake provides the fresh water storage for Tulsa.
Beginning at the western parking lot, the road runs west then north paralleling US
75. There is some traffic noise from US-
75 in this section, particularly at the northernmost portion. The road then runs east, passing the Oxley North Woods Unit. The road ends at the eastern parking lot.
There is no trail for the ~1/2 mile between the two parking lots but if the ground is dry, there is passage on grass. If the ground is wet, traffic on Mohawk Boulevard is usually light and passage facing traffic is feasible.
Flora & Fauna
Waterfowl, songbirds such as killdeer, and deer.
