We had to park a quarter mile or so from the trailhead and run on the dirt road a bit.

Overview

A good path to see nice views. On a wet day, the rocks and be slippery and make the descent more dangerous.

Description

This loop starts off with a gradual ascent through the forest, then becomes quite steep with some scrambling and steep smooth granite surfaces. On the ledge and near the summit of Pine Mountain Trail there are some nice views.

On the way down, the trail is much more tame and follows a dirt road through dense forrest so you can avoid the steep descent.
