Need to Know
Nice parking lot for plenty of parking. As you start out there is a small planked walkway across some swampy grass. Trail overall is in good shape, well blazed and easy to follow. The closer you get to the waterfall, the climbing is foot AND hand, meaning you'll need legs and hands to safely get closer to the waterfall as they're large boulders. I visited in November 2020 so there was very little water. In spring, it'll be a different story as is the case in Winter as it'll start freezing up over time. Consider what the weather has been prior to visiting.
Runner Notes
It's a fair trail for trailrunning. There are some sections you'll need to slow down and negotiate given the rocky terrrain underfoot. It also joins with a forest road with is very wide and very easy to run. I have better success running back then the run up to the waterfall.
Description
This is a pretty easy trail. There are sections that are uneven, a little rocky, some small ups and downs but for most folks who enjoy dayhikes or a run should be quite easy even for kids.
Flora & Fauna
Classic Pennsylvania hardwoods.
