Need to Know

Parking is free in a gravel lot just off of Stilesboro road. There are bathrooms, a water fountain, and covered picnic tables at the parking lot.

Mostly even, but look out for the occasional roots.

Description

The trail starts from the southwest corner of the parking lot. Run through the dense thicket and the forest.

A cut off trail to the left about 1/2 way will take you to the meadow. Continue straight (slightly right) to go on to Allatoona Creek.

The trail ends at Allatoona Creek along the sewer line.

Flora & Fauna

Many small mammals and birds can be seen on this trail. Don't miss the ferns along the creek. Stop near the marsh about 2/3 of the way to look for animal prints in the thick mud. Deer marks are almost always there. In the Spring, the sound of frogs is deafening at this point.
