This trail affords good views of the area surrounding Gavín. I show it as starting at the edge of town, where the first 0.15 miles is along a path and then dirt road to what might be the formal start of the trail, though it is not clear if there is any parking at that spot.

The trail then roughly follows the dirt road for the remainder of the first mile, cutting the switchbacks off the road. Some of these sections are steep and rocky, under a forest canopy. The "fountain" for which the trail is named is located about 1.7 miles in and was very underwhelming in October.
