Description
Start from the parking lot with a short climb up to the
Lower Long Branch Loop. Continue right until you reach the
Cullowhee Connector (yellow markers), this is an out and back for a little over three miles today consisting of lots of switchbacks. Upon returning to the
Lower Long Branch Loop continue right and merge with the
Upper Long Branch Loop which you'll take with some shorter climbs and more switch backs.
You'll pass through a section traversing some power lines with beautiful views of Cullowee and surrounding mountains. Continue along until you reach the green markers, follow to the
Gribble Gap Loop (orange markers) with one road crossing on the way. This fun and speedy loop brings you a little over a mile around and then turn up the black
Corkscrew to return with orange markers to green markers and back to the
Upper Long Branch Loop.
Turn right and you are back on the
Lower Long Branch Loop and the turn back to the parking lot will come up fast.
