The visitor center and main parking lot was closed due to COVID - park at the first lot outside the main entrance which adds 1/2 mile to the run.

As of July 2020, the entrance to this trail is closed off due to COVID-19. You may have to park 1/4- 1/2 mile away and walk to the trailhead.

Description

Newark Slough Trail is a 6.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Fremont, California . It is nice loop around the berms of Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge - great for bird watching.
