The parking area is only large enough for about 3 vehicles. There's additional parking at Harlem Valley Rail Trail.

Description

This trail starts off Under Mountain Road and travels northward past Robert Brook Trail (on the right). Continue northward, following the blue blazes. The trail crosses over Alander Brook and turns right. The trail climbs up to Junction AFC 1 and turns right. The trail ascends along the high north bank of Alander Brook to Junction AFC 2. Travel north, along the South Taconic Trail, to reach Alander Mountain.
