Need to Know

There is no water on the trail. Trail is very steep and loose. Can be very windy, especially at the top. Very hot in summer - DO NOT ATTEMPT IN THE SUMMER.

Description

The trailhead is off Kofa Queen Canyon road. Drive up the canyon until another large canyon splits off on the right. The trailhead is marked with two metal stakes and a nearby campsite. Following the trail is mostly straight forward, well traveled and marked with cairns.

The trail heads south up Ten Ewe Canyon before sloping steeply uphill, passed a (dry) waterfall, and then makes a right turn into another steep wash. Some scrambling up rocks through this wash leads to a flatter summit plateau and two nearly identically tall summits.

The official summit is to the south. A very thorough description can be found here.

Flora & Fauna

Saguaro, Ocotillo, cholla, (mythical) bighorn sheep, deer, birds
