This trail begins at the Grand Central Station picnic shelter adjacent to the castle. It then descends toward the river and a small picnic area. On this part of the trail, there are many benches and small, unblazed connector trails.

After the picnic area, the trail begins to ascend. The trail then crosses over a series of small footbridges. Finally, it passes over a larger covered footbridge and returns to the main castle area.
