This section of the SRK G starts by following Barlow Trail up to the top of Winslow Trail. It follows a small piece of Winslow Trail to the summit of Mount Kearsarge, then a small portion of Rollins Trail to Lincoln Trail. Descend along the southwestern slope on the Lincoln Trail. The trail reaches a small view spur at Baker's Ledge, and turns left.

The trail, eventually, comes to an area with an active timber harvest; please be aware of logging equipment here. Where the trail turns off the road (opposite the Black Mountain Forest sign), this becomes the Link Trail.

The SRK G follows the Link Trail to the parking lot on Kearsarge Valley Road. Turn left down the road (from the parking area) and look for the sign for the Kearsarge Valley Trail; this is section 12 of the SRK G.
